Lasting Powers of Attorney
You might worry about what will happen to your finances should you become ill, or permanently incapable of looking after your financial affairs. We can advise you about making a Power of Attorney, which allows you to appoint someone else to deal with your affairs on a temporary basis; we can also advise about an Enduring Power of Attorney, which permits you to appoint a friend or relative to look after your affairs permanently if you’re no longer able to do it yourself, for example if you’re diagnosed with dementia.
We can assist with:
- Drafting your will
- Power of Attorney and Enduring Power of Attorney, should you want a family member to look after your financial affairs if you are no longer able to do it yourself due to ill-health.
- Executors – you can appoint us to act as professional Executors of your will, to get in and distribute your estate to the beneficiaries of your will after your death
- Probate/ Letters of Administration – we can deal with the Estate of your deceased relative, realise assets, settle any debts and liabilities and distribute the estate whether there is a will or not.
- Advice where there is a dispute about a will , or if a family member dies without having made a will (Intestacy)
- Sale of property
